Your personal records stay on your device

Sobriva stores information you enter—such as your sobriety date, reasons, check-ins, notes, plans and practice history—in a local encrypted database. The database key is kept in the device’s secure storage. We do not receive these records through a Sobriva account or cloud-sync service. The current app does not have those services.

Encryption does not protect information someone can view while your device and app are unlocked. Device settings and operating-system backups are controlled by Apple. A device backup should not be relied on to restore Sobriva’s encrypted records.

Backups and exports are your choice

If you export or save a backup, the resulting file contains personal information in readable form. It is not protected by the app’s database encryption. The destination you choose—such as Files, iCloud Drive, email or another app—handles that copy under its own terms. Keep it private and delete unwanted copies yourself.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions and payment details. Sobriva uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and determine access. RevenueCat receives an app-specific user identifier, purchase and subscription information, and related device, app and transaction data. Sobriva does not send your check-in text, journal notes or personal plans to RevenueCat.

These providers retain records under their own policies and applicable obligations. Read Apple’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.

Notifications

Optional reminders are scheduled locally. You can turn them off in Sobriva or iPhone settings. Notification previews may be visible on your lock screen depending on your settings.

Support messages

If you contact support, we receive the contact information and content you send. We use it to respond and investigate the issue. Do not send sensitive journal entries or full payment details. Support correspondence may be retained while needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.

This website

The website is designed for hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This version of the site does not include advertising pixels, analytics scripts, contact forms or an email signup database.

Your choices and retention

You can export or delete local app records within Sobriva, including after membership expires. Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app. Exported copies remain wherever you saved them. A subscription restoration does not restore local records.

You may have rights to access, correct or delete information held about you, depending on where you live. Use the support contact for requests concerning information we receive. We cannot retrieve local notes that you have not shared with us. Apple and RevenueCat handle information they hold according to their policies.

Adults only

Sobriva is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed at children.

We will update this page when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
